The Road and Traffic Education Centre

Proudly supplied by RTEC's own Advanced Driver Training Team.

Advanced Driving is the ability to be in the right place at the right time, in the right gear at the right speed all the time. The Road and Traffic Education Centre (RTEC) wishes to make very clear to any enquirer that the term ‘advanced’ is all encompassing and does not merely refer to a driver who has only attended a ‘forget-me-quick’ classroom course or is just a full licence holder with ‘time under the belt’.

The RTEC no way associates itself with any other ‘advanced driver training’ providers currently in existence within New Zealand.
RTEC only promotes advanced driver training by using New Zealand roads.

The RTEC employs tried tested and proven basic UK Police ‘Roadcraft’ techniques for on road driver education that has very
significantly reduced client company crash rates and traffic law violations.
By improving driver attitude and Roadcraft skills you will definitely see a significant reduction in vehicle fuel and operating costs. Those same clients have also seen a reduction in vehicle
fuel and operating costs as a result of the improvement in driver attitude, behavior and Roadcraft skill. One client has recently
repo
rted an 84% reduction in incident rates in the last 12 months.

The company establishes itself as a ‘quality driver developer’ not an adrenalin experience provider!

The aims and objectives of The Kia Motors Road and Traffic Education Centre are very simple:

1. To improve the standard of driving (and riding) on New Zealand’s roads.
2. The Advancement of Road Safety.
3. To set the highest standards for our Driver Training Programmes.

We try to match those aims and objectives by working in the following ways:

Driver Attitude
Driver Responsibility

To prepare, in partnership with individuals, the community and other road safety organisations, to ensure that each participant on our driver training and driver improvement programmes are encouraged to take responsibility for their own lifelong learning values and behavior behind the wheel of the vehicle that they drive.

The safest car will always be driven by the safest driver.
